Since 2007
One person, one studio, 18+ years in Mackay.
Blue Logic has never tried to be a big agency. It's stayed small on purpose — so every project gets direct attention from the person who actually builds it.
How it started
Blue Logic was founded in 2007 by Jon May, a Mackay local with a Bachelor of Multimedia from Central Queensland University. What began as web design for regional businesses grew into a studio building custom PHP/MySQL systems and client portals for businesses, Government departments and oversees customers.
A path back
For a period, Jon stepped away from Blue Logic for health reasons, spending time working with Mackay Airport, Armaguard, the Commonwealth Bank, and most recently Queensland Health. That time brought a fresh perspective — and a growing interest in how AI could genuinely help small, local businesses. Blue Logic is now back up and running, built around that renewed focus.
Where it's headed
The next chapter for Blue Logic is AI integration: helping local businesses put practical AI to work in their day-to-day operations, not just on their website. Zander, the assistant you can talk to on the homepage, is the clearest example of that — a persistent, memory-enabled AI presence built directly into the site itself.
Working directly with Jon
There's no account manager, no handoff between departments, and no outsourcing. Every project — from a single-page site to a full client portal with database-backed tracking — is built, tested, and supported by Jon directly.
